La patronal del peque\u00f1o y mediano comercio de Mallorca, PIMECO, expresa su preocupaci\u00f3n ante la propuesta del Govern de les Illes Balears de aumentar la ecotasa (Impuesto de Turismo Sostenible). \u00abSi bien entendemos la importancia de promover un turismo m\u00e1s sostenible y compartimos algunas de las propuestas hechas, consideramos que esta medida debe ir acompa\u00f1ada de estudios del impacto real que tendr\u00e1\u00bb, afirma la presidenta de los comerciantes, Carolina Domingo.<\/p>\n
PIMECO advierte de que un incremento desproporcionado de este impuesto, especialmente en un contexto de inflaci\u00f3n y crisis econ\u00f3mica, puede afectar gravemente al comercio local<\/strong>. Cada euro que un turista paga en impuestos es un euro menos que puede gastar en establecimientos comerciales, poniendo en riesgo la viabilidad de muchas peque\u00f1as y medianas empresas que dependen directa o indirectamente del sector tur\u00edstico.<\/p>\n Baleares compite con otros destinos que no aplican este tipo de tributo, lo que podr\u00eda restarle competitividad como destino tur\u00edstico. Antes de plantear una subida de hasta el 200% en ciertos segmentos, es fundamental evaluar su impacto en la demanda y en la econom\u00eda
