La Federaci\u00f3n de la Peque\u00f1a y Mediana Empresa de Mallorca (PIMEM) considera que el actual debate sobre el futuro del Impuesto de Turismo Sostenible (ITS) debe enfocarse en garantizar que el 100% de su recaudaci\u00f3n se destine exclusivamente a inversiones medioambientales, especialmente en infraestructuras relacionadas con el ciclo del agua, la depuraci\u00f3n y la sostenibilidad h\u00eddrica. No debe convertirse en una v\u00eda de financiaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9rica, sino en una herramienta \u00fatil para compensar el impacto ambiental del turismo.<\/p>\n
Desde PIMEM se insiste en que este impuesto, en su pr\u00e1ctica totalidad, lo pagan los visitantes no residentes y su efecto es m\u00ednimo dentro del precio final del alojamiento, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que los precios hoteleros han experimentado incrementos acumulados superiores al 30% en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. \u00abEstamos hablando de un coste reducido en t\u00e9rminos relativos, pero con un potencial enorme si se gestiona de forma eficaz, transparente y finalista\u00bb, se\u00f1alan desde la Federaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
La patronal recuerda que este impuesto se justific\u00f3 originalmente como un compromiso con la sostenibilidad del territorio, y no como una herramienta de recaudaci\u00f3n flexible. Por ello, reclama una gesti\u00f3n estrictamente finalista, donde la transparencia y la vinculaci\u00f3n al medio ambiente y al ciclo del agua sean irrenunciables.<\/p>\n
