En total, en 2025 se han distribuido <strong>138 kil\u00f3metros lineales de biofilm<\/strong> en el marco de una compra conjunta impulsada por <strong>APAEMA<\/strong> con el apoyo de la <strong>Fundaci\u00f3 Mallorca Preservation<\/strong>. Este material cubre <strong>27,6 hect\u00e1reas de huerta<\/strong> en <strong>18 fincas ecol\u00f3gicas<\/strong> de la isla.<\/p>\n<p>Se trata del <strong>sexto a\u00f1o consecutivo<\/strong> en que se lleva a cabo esta iniciativa, que forma parte del <strong>proyecto Biofilm<\/strong>, en marcha desde <strong>2019<\/strong>. La campa\u00f1a se ha consolidado como <strong>una de las m\u00e1s exitosas de APAEMA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Fundaci\u00f3 Mallorca Preservation colabora<\/strong> asumiendo parte del <strong>sobrecoste del biofilm respecto al pl\u00e1stico convencional<\/strong> para hacerlo m\u00e1s asequible para el campo.<\/p>\n<p>En los cultivos de huerta es habitual usar la t\u00e9cnica del acolchado para controlar las hierbas adventicias y conservar la humedad. El biofilm es <strong>igualmente eficaz para asumir esta funci\u00f3n<\/strong>, pero <strong>no genera residuos<\/strong>. Est\u00e1 hecho de un compuesto org\u00e1nico y <strong>se integra en la tierra de manera natural<\/strong> pasados unos meses, con lo cual se ahorra tiempo y trabajo porque no hay que retirarlo al acabar la temporada. De hecho, sus ventajas hacen que su uso tambi\u00e9n se est\u00e9 haciendo com\u00fan entre el campo convencional.<\/p>\n<p>Con la campa\u00f1a de este a\u00f1o, el total acumulado en seis a\u00f1os <strong>se eleva hasta los 894,2 kil\u00f3metros de biofilm<\/strong>; dicho de otra manera, <strong>se ha evitado emplear 16.543 kilos de
